Piyummini Cooray Ranasinghe was admitted to the Bar as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 1997. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Business and Commercial Law, awarded in 2013 by Ealing Law School at the University of West London.
Enhancing her professional credentials, Mrs. Ranasinghe has obtained a Post-Attorney Diploma in Banking and Insurance Law from Sri Lanka Law College, a Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance, and an International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, conducted in collaboration with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the International Compliance Association.
Her qualifications further extend to her roles as a Registered Company Secretary, Notary Public, and Intellectual Property Agent.
Mrs.Ranasinghe currently serves as the Executive Director of Financial Services and Commercial Agencies, a well-established company secretarial firm with a legacy spanning over 46 years, founded by her late father, Mr.H. E. P. Cooray, Attorney-at-Law, who was a pioneer of the Sri Lanka National Arbitration Centre.
In addition, she is the founder of Chambers PR, a law firm recognized for its expertise in conveyancing, as well as corporate and commercial legal services.
